 06.12.09 : Blessed with perfect weather conditions, the inaugural Salomon X-Trail Run 2009 was a hit, with close to 800 participants taking part in both the 10km and 4km run here in Taman Lembah Kiara.
The start / finish area was a fanfare of participants, supporters and sponsors - everyone enjoying a day out in the challenging but scenic trails of Bukit Kiara.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL the WINNERS and WELL DONE to everyone who came out to race. A big thank you to the Title Sponsor Salomon, Main Sponsor World of Sports and co-sponsors Powerbar, Gardenia, Gatorade, CAPI, Suunto, World of Outdoor, Perskindol and Physiowerkz for supporting this event.

It's looking to be a MUDDY RUN indeed this weekend at the Salomon X-Trail Run in Bukit Kiara. For those of you running this weekend, here are some quick tips for you as you prepare to hit the trails - all the best and HAVE FUN!:
• BE SAFE
Apply mosquito repellent before coming into the trail.
Wear shoes with good traction.
• BE HYDRATED
Drink before, during and after your run.
• BE SEEN
Wear your race number on the front of your jersey.
Stay on the trail marked with the RED SALOMON arrows.
• BE SANE
Pace yourself, as it is an off-road run and you will need to maintain your energy till the end.
Don't forget to enjoy your run and take in the scenery / flora & fauna of Bukit Kiara.

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED. Kindly note that due to the overwhelming response, only participants who have SIGNED UP and PAID for the event are considered CONFIRMED and eligible to take part in this event. The organisers will not accept payment at Race Kit Collection or on the day of the race.

Get ready for the SALOMON X-Trail Run 2009 - held for the first time in Malaysia @ Taman Lembah Kiara, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. With two distances, a 4km distance for those who are new to off-road running, or just wanting to have a fun time in the trails; and a 10km distance for those who want a bit more pain - the run is set to be a great morning out in the hills of the well-known Bukit Kiara.
