OUR EXPERIENCE

In it's first year of operations, QRA produced a National Duathlon Series, namely the Malakoff Malaysian Duathlon Series (MMDS), a multi-sport event consisting of 2 disciplines, running and cycling. This National Duathlon Series, came alongside the award of rights to host an International Duathlon Series, Powerman Malaysia (an International Powerman Association [IPA] licensed event). This series leading up to Powerman Malaysia has been running since 2002 and through its Sprint, Team and Corporate Charity Relay categories, has grown the multi-sport base of participants in Malaysia and the region.

QRA has also organized the KL Mountain Bike Carnival (KLMBC) since 2003, which has the biggest prize money purse for a local mountain bike racing event. The race is part of a carnival catered for the community and last year included a Bike Clinic for Kiara Hill users.

QRA’s strong points are its ability to reach and appeal not only to Elite and professional athletes, but more so to the ever-expanding generation of weekend warriors and entry-level competitors today who may not necessarily be competing for honours and accolades but for a sense of personal achievement.

QRA uses the internet extensively to disseminate information, through dedicated event specific websites and bi-monthly (or as required by sponsors) newsletter and updates on what’s going on and where.
QRA’s competitor database is made up of the 22 to 50 year old, internet savvy, urban based corporate executive and professionals, who demand the best in service, from information on races to logistics and advice.

Sponsors gain recognition, reputation and mileage, from direct associations with these type of races and events, which have a reputation of being healthy, community developing, socially active, young, hip and trendy.

Aside from organising sports related events, QRA also provides consultancy for various other events and event organisers, from bike tours, road tours, runs to triathlons. Our passion for sports has seen us volunteering and working in various other events to gain priceless experience.
